My Belief & Approach

I believe you should not have to pay excessive legal fees to achieve a fair and positive outcome in the Family Court. Finances should never prevent someone from accessing justice, understanding their options or feeling properly supported during what can be an incredibly stressful and emotional time.

My approach is personal, practical and supportive. I work in partnership with my clients, taking the time to understand their individual circumstances, concerns and goals. I am not simply here to help with forms, statements and court preparation. I am here to guide you through each stage of the process, explain things clearly and help you feel more confident about the decisions ahead.

I also understand that Family Court matters do not always fit neatly into office hours. That is why I make myself available 24/7, so you are never left feeling alone, unsure or unsupported when you need guidance most.

What My Clients Have Said

Stephen H, Liverpool
“Absolutely brilliant support and guidance from Dan. Support was invaluable.”

Nicholas P, Manchester
“Dan has been highly supportive and professionally thorough during this difficult time, and would say he has gone above and beyond so far in this process. I am very grateful for all of his efforts, and I would recommend him to anyone who is trying to gain access to their children.”

Lauren M, Taunton
“Dan has been a monumental support to me in a very difficult time. He is incredibly informative and direct to the point without being cold or lacking empathy. He has been quick to respond and fast to draw up documentation that met all needs and was professionally laid out. His ability to be professional but friendly and supportive makes for a brilliant ally when facing what may indeed be, some of the hardest days in your life.”

Boris K, Bristol
“Despite being a lawyer by profession, I have no previous experience in the family court. My case involves an application for a child arrangements order for my daughter, currently 17 months old. The mother is very hostile and has effectively attempted to delete me from our child’s life. Dan Wilson has been fantastic. Dan pointed out that best thing I could do was to reduce conflict and he pointed out that dealing with allegations in an adversarial way only increases conflict. I trusted in Dan’s years of experience as a McKenzie Friend and it paid off. At the very next hearing it was decided no finding of fact hearing was necessary. The parties were ordered to make proposals about contact going forward. I know Dan is there to give me reassurance and straightforward, no nonsense advice. I am very pleased with the support and advice given by Dan and would not hesitate to recommend him.”

Mark S, Newcastle
“So far Dan has proven to be an absolute God-send to me. He has a very reassuring presence and a lot of humanity about him.”
